Shaking hands when meeting people

Action

It is stated by the Prophet of Allah [] that "There are no two Muslims who meet and shake hands with one another, but they will be forgiven before they part".

This shows that shaking hands with our fellow Muslims will become a great benefit to us and those we shake with. It was also a custom that was well-known amongst the Companions (May Allah be pleased with them) to shake hands.

Additionally, when a muslim meets a fellow muslim and he greets him with salaam and takes him by the hand and shakes hands with him, their sins will fall like the leaves of a tree.

So let us all try to shake hands with our fellow Muslim and encourage this good act to be carried out, allowing our sins to fall like the leaves of a tree, making peace with our brothers and sisters and not holding any hatred or grudges on them.
